Faith In The Middle

Habakkuk 2:4, "...the just shall live [continuously] by his faith."

Romans 1:16-17, For I am not ashamed of this Good News about Christ.  It is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes - the Jew first and also the Gentile. 17 This Good News tells us how God makes us right in his sight.  This is accomplished from start to finish by faith. As the Scriptures say, "The just shall live by faith."

Romans 1:17, "This is accomplished [achieved] from start to finish by faith."

In the middle...

  • pressures of life
  • attacked
  • overcomplicate/spiritualize
  • old thought patterns
  • spirit vs. flesh
"Faith is in our hearts, but it doesn't live there alone."

You are not alone!

1.  No substitutes

Hebrews 11:6, But without faith, it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is...

2.  Not a leap

"True faith is confidence that God is who He says He is - and that He will do everything He has promised to do."

Romans 4:20-21, He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, 21 and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform.

3.  Not limited

Luke 16:10-11 [NLT], "If you are faithful in little things, you will be faithful in large ones.  But if you are dishonest in little things, you won't be honest with greater responsibilities. 11 And if you are untrustworthy about worldly wealth, who will trust you with the true riches of heaven?"

What could happen if we began to invite God into every area of our lives?

4.  Known for our faith

1 John 5:4 [NLT], For every child of God defeats this evil world, and we achieve this victory through our faith.
