The Fellowship of the King

1.     THE FELLOWSHIP OF THE KING…its called eternal life.
Ecclesiastes 3:11
11 He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also He has put eternity in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end.

2.  Take us back to that which was from the beginning

3.  Take a good look at what the will of my Father is.

John 17:1-3
1 After Jesus said this, He looked toward heaven and prayed: “Father, the hour has come. Glorify Your Son, that Your Son may glorify You. 2 For You granted Him authority over all people that He might give eternal life to all those You have given Him. 3 Now this is eternal life: that they know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom You have sent.

Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.
— John 17:3

Matthew 7:21-23
21
“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?’ 23 Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’

  1. We teach what we know, impart what we are.
  2. We can give great hope through the message and then take it away by not adhering to that message.
  3. Over emphasis…chasing the sensational
  4. The Father is very clear in what He not only wants but demands from us.

John 17:20-26, Jesus Prays for All Believers
20 “My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, 21 that all of them may be one, Father, just as You are in me and I am in You. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that You have sent me. 22 I have given them the glory that You gave me, that they may be one as we are one— 23 I in them and You in me—so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that You sent me and have loved them even as You have loved me.

24 “Father, I want those You have given me to be with me where I am, and to see my glory, the glory You have given me because You loved me before the creation of the world.

25 “Righteous Father, though the world does not know You, I know You, and they know that You have sent me. 26 I have made You known to them, and will continue to make You known in order that the love You have for me may be in them and that I myself may be in them.”

That which was from the beginning.

1 John 1:1-4
1 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked at and our hands have touched—this we proclaim concerning the Word of life. 2 The life appeared; we have seen it and testify to it, and we proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and has appeared to us. 3 We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard, so that you also may have fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ. 4 We write this to make our joy complete.
