Spirit, Soul and Body- Part 5

Philippians 2:6-11 [NLT], Though He was God, He did not think of equality with God as something to cling to. 7 Instead, He gave up His divine privileges; He took the humble position of a slave and was born as a human being.  When He appeared in human form, 8 He humbled Himself in obedience to God and died a criminal’s death on a cross. 9 Therefore, God elevated Him to the place of highest honor and gave Him the name above all other names, 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and every tongue declare that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

John 1:14 [NLT], So the Word became human and made His home among us.

Matthew 4:1-2 [AMP], Then Jesus was led by the [Holy] Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. 2 After He had gone without food for forty days and forty nights, He became hungry.

Matthew 26:38-39 [ESV], Then He said to them, “My soul is very sorrowful, even to death; remain here, and watch with Me.” 39 And going a little farther He fell on His face and prayed, saying, “My Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from Me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as You will.

Luke 23:44-46 [NIV], It was now about noon, and darkness came over the whole land until three in the afternoon, 45 for the sun stopped shining.  And the curtain of the temple was torn in two. 46 Jesus called out with a loud voice, “Father, into Your hands I commit My spirit.”  When He had said this, He breathed His last.

Daniel 7:13-14 [NLT], As my vision continued that night, I saw someone like a son of man coming with the clouds of heaven.  He approached the Ancient One and was led into His presence. 14 He was given authority, honor, and sovereignty over all the nations of the world, so that people of every race and nation and language would obey Him.  His rule is eternal—it will never end.  His kingdom will never be destroyed.

Hebrews 4:15 [AMP], For we do not have a High Priest who is unable to sympathize and understand our weaknesses and temptations, but One who has been tempted [knowing exactly how it feels to be human] in every respect as we are, yet without [committing any] sin.

Romans 8:14 [NLT], For all who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God.

Galatians 5:25 [NLT], Since we are living by the Spirit, let us follow the Spirit’s leading in every part of our lives.
