Arm Yourself With Peace

Isaiah 59:7-9 [AMP], Their feet run to evil, and they rush to shed innocent blood.  Their thoughts are thoughts of wickedness [of sin, of injustice, of wrongdoing]; devastation and destruction are in their highways. 8 They do not know the way of peace… They have made them into crooked paths; whoever walks on them does not know peace. 9 Therefore justice is far from us, and righteousness does not overtake us.  We [expectantly] hope for light, but only see darkness; we hope for a gleam of light, but we walk in darkness and gloom.

Colossians 1:19-20 [NASB], For it was the Father’s good pleasure for all the fullness to dwell in Him, 20 and through Him to reconcile all things to Himself, having made peace through the blood of His cross…

Ephesians 6:13-18 [NIV], Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. 18 and pray in the Spirit on all occasions...

Ephesians 6:15 [AMP], “and having strapped on your feet the gospel of peace in preparation [to face the enemy with firm-footed stability and the readiness produced by the good news].”

1.  Protection

Isaiah 26:3 [ESV], You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on You…

Philippians 4:6-7 [AMP], Do not be anxious or worried about anything, but in everything [every circumstance and situation] by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, continue to make your [specific] request known to God. 7 And the peace of God [that peace which reassures the heart, that peace] which transcends all understanding, [that peace which] stands guard over your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus [is yours].

2.  Stability

Psalm 18:33 [NLT], He makes me as surefooted as a deer, enabling me to stand on mountain heights.

Psalm 18:36 [NLT], You have made a wide path for my feet to keep them from slipping.

3.  Movement

Colossians 3:15 [NKJV], And let the peace of God rule in your hearts…

Romans 10:15 [NKJV], “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, who bring glad tidings of good things!”
