Keeping Your Head When You Feel Like You’re Losing Your Mind (Part 2)

What to remember when you want to keep your head but you are on the verge of losing your mind:

1. Be aware of the spiritual dimension that you are fighting in.

Ephesians 6:12 – For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

I Timothy 6:6 – Now godliness with contentment is great gain.

2 Chronicles 7:14 – if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

2. Know that if you are going to keep your head, Jesus has to have your heart.

Colossians 3:1-3 – If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.

3. Remember who you are, whose you are, and what your mission is.

Colossians 2:9 – For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily

James 3:3 – Indeed, we put bits in horses’ mouths that they may obey us, and we turn their whole body.

2 Timothy 1:7 - For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

Jeremiah 1:5-12

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you;
Before you were born I sanctified you;
I ordained you a prophet to the nations.”

Then said I: “Ah, Lord God!
Behold, I cannot speak, for I am a youth.”

But the Lord said to me:

“Do not say, ‘I am a youth,’
For you shall go to all to whom I send you,
And whatever I command you, you shall speak.

Do not be afraid of their faces,
For I am with you to deliver you,” says the Lord.

Then the Lord put forth His hand and touched my mouth, and the Lord said to me:

“Behold, I have put My words in your mouth.

10 See, I have this day set you over the nations and over the kingdoms,
To root out and to pull down,
To destroy and to throw down,
To build and to plant.”

11 Moreover the word of the Lord came to me, saying, “Jeremiah, what do you see?”

And I said, “I see a branch of an almond tree.”

12 Then the Lord said to me, “You have seen well, for I am ready to perform My word.”
