Kingdom: Eternal Impact
1 Chronicles 22:15 (Christian standard bible) You also have many workers: stonecutters, masons, carpenters, and men skilled in every kind of work— 16 in gold and silver, bronze and iron—craftsmen beyond number. Now begin the work, and may the LORD be with you.
1. God has prepared and equipped you for this moment
2 Timothy 3:16-17 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.
One of the most important roles of the church is to empower us as people, for influence or impact in our field. ( Through church, to the marketplace)
What do you do?
2. God is in the process of making something beautiful out of your life , don’t keep it from everyone.
Being fashioned into the person that God needs you to be for each season of your life will solicit a full range of emotion... because He is changing and adjusting you.
Ephesians 2:10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.
The enemy will try and convince you that you are a piece of work. Truth is you have been handcrafted by God and you are a work of art, a masterpiece.
3. God has built wisdom, knowledge and experience in you to equip and release the generation around you.
“I must study politics and war, that our sons may have liberty to study mathematics and philosophy. Our sons ought to study mathematics and philosophy, geography, natural history and naval architecture, navigation, commerce and agriculture in order to give their children a right to study painting, poetry, music, architecture, statuary, tapestry and porcelain.”
-John Quincy Adams
1 Chronicles 22:8-10 But the word of the Lord came to me, saying, ‘You have shed much blood and have made great wars; you shall not build a house for My name, because you have shed much blood on the earth in My sight. 9 Behold, a son shall be born to you, who shall be a man of rest; and I will give him rest from all his enemies all around. His name shall be Solomon, for I will give peace and quietness to Israel in his days. 10 He shall build a house for My name, and he shall be My son, and I will be his Father; and I will establish the throne of his kingdom over Israel forever.’
David received the word of the Lord over his life that he would not be the one to build the house of the Lord.. he had to prepare, equip and empower another generation to do so.
