Luke 6:12-19 (NASB) Now it was at this time that He went off to the mountain to pray, and He spent the whole night in prayer with God. 13 And when day came, He called His disciples to Him and chose twelve of them, whom He also named as apostles: 14 Simon, whom He also named Peter, and his brother Andrew; and James and John; and Philip and Bartholomew; 15 and Matthew and Thomas; James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon who was called the Zealot; 16 Judas the son of James, and Judas Iscariot, who became a traitor. 17 And then Jesus came down with them and stood on a level place; and there was a large crowd of His disciples, and a great multitude of the people from all Judea and Jerusalem, and the coastal region of Tyre and Sidon, 18 who had come to hear Him and to be healed of their diseases; and those who were troubled by unclean spirits were being cured. 19 And all the people were trying to touch Him, because power was coming from Him and healing them all.
Mark 9:33-34 (NLT) After they arrived at Capernaum and settled in a house, Jesus asked His disciples, “What were you discussing out on the road?” 34 But they didn’t answer, because they had been arguing about which of them was the greatest.
Mark 9:38 (NLT) John said to Jesus, “Teacher, we saw someone using Your name to cast out demons, but we told him to stop because he wasn’t in our group.”
Mark 10:35-41 (NET) Then James and John, the sons of Zebedee, came to Him and said, “Teacher, we want You to do for us whatever we ask.” 36 He said to them, “What do you want Me to do for you?” 37 They said to Him, “Permit one of us to sit at Your right hand and the other at Your left in your glory.” 41 Now when the other ten heard this, they became angry with James and John.

John 13:34-35 (NLT) So now I am giving you a new commandment: Love each other. Just as I have loved you, you should love each other. 35 Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are My disciples.
1 John 4:11 (NLT) Dear friends, since God loved us that much, we surely ought to love each other.
1 Peter 4:7-8 (NLT) The end of the world is coming soon. Therefore, be earnest and disciplined in your prayers. 8 Most important of all, continue to show deep love to each other, for love covers a multitude of sins.
