He Restores My Soul: Part 2
Psalm 23:1-6 (NKJV) The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. 2 He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. 3 He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. 4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. 5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; my cup runs over. 6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
Soul wounds enter our lives by…

3. Trauma
3 John 2 (NKJV) Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.

What did Jesus die for?
The reslt of His suffering is that “by His wounds we are HEALED.”
The message of the Kingdom is that Jesus has not only conquered sin and the devil but also all of the effects of sin.
1 John 3:8 (AMP) The Son of God appeared for this purpose, to destroy the works of the devil
Acts 10:38 (AMP) how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with great power; and He went around doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, because God was with Him.
1. We will not be defensive
“The problem was that defensiveness was preventing me from life change.”
Joshua 5:13-14 (NKJV) And it came to pass, when Joshua was by Jericho, that he lifted his eyes and looked, and behold, a Man stood opposite him with His sword drawn in His hand. And Joshua went to Him and said to Him, “Are You for us or for our adversaries?” 14 So He said, “No…
We will never overcome what we refuse to admit.
2. We will not play the blame game
John 21:21-22 (NLT) Peter asked Jesus, “What about him, Lord?” 22 Jesus replied, “If I want him to remain alive until I return, what is that to you? As for you, follow Me.”
3. We will refuse to fight for the victim's seat
4. We will cultivate deeper self-awareness
“You will never rise above your level of self-awareness. The things we deny about ourselves are the very things that deny us from the fullness of God.” —Rob Reimer
“God cannot cleanse that which we will not confess. We are often reluctant to admit the ugly, broken, and sinful parts of our self. But to the degree that we deny these realities, we live in bondage to them.” —Rob Reimer
5. We will bring our true selves into the light
John 8:1-12 (NKJV) But Jesus went to the Mount of Olives. 2 Now early in the morning He came again into the temple, and all the people came to Him; and He sat down and taught them. 3 Then the scribes and Pharisees brought to Him a woman caught in adultery. And when they had set her in the midst, 4 they said to Him, “Teacher, this woman was caught in adultery, in the very act. 5 Now Moses, in the law, commanded us that such should be stoned. But what do You say?” 6 This they said, testing Him, that they might have something of which to accuse Him. But Jesus stooped down and wrote on the ground with His finger, as though He did not hear. 7 So when they continued asking Him, He raised Himself up and said to them, “He who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her first.” 8 And again He stooped down and wrote on the ground. 9 Then those who heard it, being convicted by their conscience, went out one by one, beginning with the oldest even to the last. And Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst. 10 When Jesus had raised Himself up and saw no one but the woman, He said to her, “Woman, where are those accusers of yours? Has no one condemned you?” 11 She said, “No one, Lord.” And Jesus said to her, “Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more.” 12 Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”
