What Frames Your World?

Faith and the Word of God

Hebrews 11:1 (NKJV) Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Hebrews 11:3 (NKJV) By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.

Hebrews 11:6 (NKJV) But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

The existence of faith

"The existence of faith does not depend on physical circumstances changing or emotional needs being met, but on a revelation of the Holy Spirit to our hearts and minds of who God is and that HE has more than enough to enable us to fulfill HIS plan for our lives."David Campbell

The power in His promises

"Every promise of God contains the power of God necessary to produce what it promises, when it is believed and acted upon." T. L. Osborn

What frames your world?

  • The voice of the past

  • Disappointments, failures, wounds, and labels.

  • The voice of present circumstances

  • People's expectations, relational issues, health issues, job issues, or a wayward son or daughter.

  • The voice of culture

Pressing you to speak, think, and act a certain way that is contrary to your convictions and belief.

The voice of God

Is your life framed by the Word of God? What God says about you!

1. Mend or repair what has been broken

Matthew 4:21 (NKJV) Going on from there, He saw two other brothers, James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, in the boat with Zebedee their father, mending their nets. He called them.

Psalm 147:3 (NKJV) He heals the brokenhearted And binds up their wounds.

Psalm 107:20 (NKJV) He sent His word and healed them and delivered them from their destructions.

2. Equip, put in order, adjust and establish

1 Thessalonians 3:9-10 (NKJV) For what thanks can we render to God for you, for all the joy with which we rejoice for your sake before our God, night and day praying. exceedingly that we may see your face and perfect what is lacking in your faith?

3. Perfect and complete

Philippians 1:6 (NKJV) Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;

Hebrews 13:20-21 (MSG) May God, who puts all things together, makes all things whole... Now put you together, provide you with everything you need to please him, make us into what gives him most pleasure, by means of the sacrifice of Jesus, the Messiah. All glory to Jesus forever and always! Oh, yes, yes, yes.
