The Unexpected
Life is full of the unexpected!
Our unexpected moments are never unexpected to God.
Psalm 139:16, You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in Your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed.
1. Courage
Courage means; "the attitude of facing anything recognized as dangerous, difficult, or painful, instead of withdrawing from it."
Joshua 1:9, Am I not in command of your circumstances? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened and do not be discouraged.
“The fulfillment of God’s plan for our lives shrinks and expands in proportion to our courage.”
Joshua 1:9, Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened and do not be discouraged.
“I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.” —Nelson Mandela
"Courage is not the absence of fear, it is action in the presence of fear. Courageous people do what they know they should do, not what they feel like doing."
Joshua 1:5, “No one will be able to stand against you as long as you live. For I will be with you as I was with Moses. I will not fail you or abandon you.”
2. Kindness
Kindness is “goodness in action, sweetness of disposition, and a gentleness in dealing with others.” It describes “the ability to act for the welfare of those taxing our patience.”
A. We are a family
Romans 14:1 [NLT], Accept other believers who are weak in faith, and don’t argue with them about what they think is right or wrong.
B. God treats us with kindness
Jeremiah 9:24 [NIV], “I am the Lord, who exercises kindness, justice and righteousness on earth, for in these I delight.”
Ephesians 4:32 [NLT], Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you.
C. Kindness reflects His nature
