An Appointed Time

Acts 17:26 [TPT], From one man, Adam, He made every man and woman and every race of humanity, and He spread us over all the earth.  He sets the boundaries of people and nations, determining their appointed times in history.

Psalm 139:13-18 [NIV], For You created my inmost being; You knit me together in my mother’s womb. 14 I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Your works are wonderful, I know that full well. 15 My frame was not hidden from You when I was made in the secret place.  When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, 16 Your eyes saw my unformed body.  All the days ordained for me were written in Your book before one of them came to be. 17 How precious to me are Your thoughts, O God!  How vast is the sum of them! 18 Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand.

“You are not an accident, you were created On purpose, FOR a purpose by God Himself!”

Galatians 4:4 [NIV], But when the set time had fully come, God sent His Son, born of a woman…

“For us to understand the significance of the times we are living in, we need to understand our place in church history and how Bible prophecy applies to our lives.”

Hebrews 11:13 [NIV], All these people were still living in faith when they died.  They did not receive the things promised; they only saw them and welcomed them from a distance.

Matthew 13:16-17 [NLT], “But blessed are your eyes, because they see; and your ears, because they hear. 17 I tell you the truth, many prophets and righteous people longed to see what you see, but they didn’t see it.  And they longed to hear what you hear, but they didn’t hear it.”

Prophecies concerning the end times include…

  • A global out pouring of God’s Spirit

  • A harvest of souls from every nation

  • A great shaking in the nations

  • The return of Jesus Christ

Hebrews 12:1-2 [NIV], Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. 2 Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith…

“The restoration of truth throughout the ages is progressive.  Each movement in church history has restored something important we will need to remember in order to fulfill our destiny.”

The two-sided coin…

  • Shaking and judgment

  • Glory and harvest

Haggai 2:6-9 [NKJV], “For thus says the Lord of hosts: ‘Once more (it is a little while) I will shake heaven and earth, the sea and dry land; 7 and I will shake all nations, and they shall come to the Desire of All Nations, and I will fill this temple with glory,’ says the Lord of hosts. 8 ‘The silver is Mine, and the gold is Mine,’ says the Lord of hosts. 9 ‘The glory of this latter temple shall be greater than the former,’ says the Lord of hosts. ‘And in this place I will give peace,’ says the Lord of hosts.”

Isaiah 60:1-3 [NIV], “Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you. 2 See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the Lord rises upon you and his glory appears over you. 3 Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn.

“When we begin to discover where we are personally in church history and God’s prophetic timeline, it will empower us to wake up from our spiritual slumber and remember our lives hold a significant purpose in the advancement of His kingdom in our generation.”

1 Chronicles 12:32 [NLT], From the tribe of Issachar, there were 200 leaders of the tribe with their relatives.  All these men understood the signs of the times and knew the best course for Israel to take.
