The Story Isn’t Over
Galatians 3:1 [NKJV], O foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you that you should not obey the truth…
Proverbs 22:8 [AMP], He who sows injustice [iniquity] will reap [a harvest of] trouble…
Hosea 8:7 [NKJV], “They sow the wind, and reap the whirlwind.”
Galatians 6:7-8 [AMP], Do not be deceived, God is not mocked [He will not allow Himself to be ridiculed, nor treated with contempt nor allow His precepts to be scornfully set aside]; for whatever a man sows, this and this only is what he will reap. 8 For the one who sows to his flesh [his sinful capacity, his worldliness, his disgraceful impulses] will reap from the flesh ruin and destruction, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.
1. Who our God is
2. What He has spoken
3. Who He has called us to be
4. What He has called us to do
1. Who our God is has not changed
Malachi 3:6 [AMP], “For I am the Lord, I do not change [but remain faithful to My covenant with you]; that is why you, O sons of Jacob, have not come to an end.”
2. What He has spoken has not changed
2 Timothy 3:1-5 [NLT], You should know this, Timothy, that in the last days there will be very difficult times. 2 For people will love only themselves and their money. They will be boastful and proud, scoffing at God, disobedient to their parents, and ungrateful. They will consider nothing sacred. 3 They will be unloving and unforgiving; they will slander others and have no self-control. They will be cruel and hate what is good. 4 They will betray their friends, be reckless, be puffed up with pride, and love pleasure rather than God. 5 They will act religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly. Stay away from people like that!
John 16:33 [NLT], I have told you all this so that you may have peace in Me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.
3. Who He has called us to be has not changed
Romans 11:2-5 [NLT], No, God has not rejected His own people, whom He chose from the very beginning. Do you realize what the Scriptures say about this? Elijah the prophet complained to God about the people of Israel and said, 3 “Lord, they have killed Your prophets and torn down Your altars. I am the only one left, and now they are trying to kill me, too.” 4 And do you remember God’s reply? He said, “No, I have 7,000 others who have never bowed down to Baal!” 5 It is the same today…
Matthew 5:14-16 [NLT], You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. 15 No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.
4. What He has called us to do has not changed
1 Timothy 2:1-4 [NKJV], Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, 2 for kings [politicians] and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. 3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, 4 who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
2 Chronicles 7:13-14 [NKJV], When I shut up heaven and there is no rain, or command the locusts to devour the land, or send pestilence among My people, 14 if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, THEN I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.
Hosea 10:12 [NKJV], Sow for yourselves righteousness; reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground, for it is time to seek the Lord, till He comes and rains righteousness on you.
Psalm 121:1-8 [TPT], I look up to the mountains and hills, longing for God’s help. But then I realize that our true help and protection come only from the Lord, our Creator who made the heavens and the earth. 3 He will guard and guide me, never letting me stumble or fall. God is my keeper; He will never forget nor ignore me. 4 He will never slumber nor sleep; He is the Guardian-God for His people, Israel. 5 Jehovah Himself will watch over you; He’s always at your side to shelter you safely in His presence. 6 He’s protecting you from all danger both day and night. 7 He will keep you from every form of evil or calamity as He continually watches over you. 8 You will be guarded by God Himself. You will be safe when you leave your home and safely you will return. He will protect you now, and He’ll protect you forevermore!
